MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Dear friends,

The Church in India is alive and kicking despite heat of all kinds. But we do live in peculiar and slightly perilous times. There is more scrutiny than ever, and Christian organizations are challenged to ‘up our game’ when it comes to the way we run. About time? There is perhaps a need to rethink some aspects of what church means in current times. The tension is between the organizational aspects versus the movement aspects of how we respond to Jesus’s call to “go and make disciples.

”It is no longer wise for Christian organizations to function in isolation, and we need to discover the future together. Is our Lord challenging us to identify the weaknesses within ourselves as a collective rather than be distracted by the threats outside? (Matt 7:3-5)EFAC is an initiative to bring together Christian organizations to become aware of what are common governance, financial, management and operations standards we all wish to adhere to. Once we know these, we can enable one another to meet those standards.Every Christian church and organization in India is invited to join in and champion this journey we are all taking. Please click here to start it NOW.

Blessings

Arpit Waghmare
